Needle Roller Bearing

The rolling elements of needle roller bearings are a kind of cylindrical rollers, very slender (the length of the roller is 3-10 times the diameter, and the diameter is generally not greater than 5mm), so the radial structure is compact. When its inner diameter and load capacity are the same as other types of bearings, its radial section is the smallest, especially suitable for the shafting design with limited radial installation dimensions.

According to different applications, needle roller bearings can be selected without an inner ring or needle roller and cage assembly. At the same time, the journal surface and seat hole surface matching the bearing are directly used as the bearing’s inner and outer rolling surfaces. To ensure that the load capacity and running performance are the same as the bearing with races, the hardness, machining accuracy, and surface quality of the raceway surface of the shaft or housing hole should be similar to the raceways of the bearings with rings. This kind of bearing can only bear radial load.

The type of Needle roller bearings

Generally speaking, needle roller bearings can be divided into several types: needle roller and cage assembly, drawn cup needle roller bearing, machined needle roller bearing, and combined needle roller bearing.
